H&S is our highest priority, the safety of our crew, the clients we work with and the general public is our first thought in anything we do. The welfare of our crew and ensuring all people on site are working in safe conditions is imperative. If we didn’t take Health and Safety as serious as we do, we would not have both the reputation we do or the relationships we do with so many clients and venues.
CREW INDUCTIONS & PROGRESSION
Prevention is always best, the most effective way of weaving Health and Safety into the mind set of all managers and crew is training. All crew undergo a strict induction process with a large aspect of it conducted by our health and safety manager who is both NEBOSH and IOSH certified.
All crew work in line with British Safety Council standards. They are health aware, safety conscience and have an extremely professional mindset. All crew come with full PPE to every shift and can be armed with additional PPE if and when identified.
WORKING ON THE BIGGEST EVENTS IN THE INDUSTRY
Our Health and Safety Manager is constantly consulting with, providing RAMS to, and working alongside our Clients. On large-scale projects, (think Commonwealth Games or British Swimming Championships etc.), we are very happy to work closely with expert consultants; these epic events offer a great opportunity to better our understanding. This in turn serves to improve our own processes and procedures.
PROTECTION FOR OUR CREW
The protection of crew is of paramount importance to us. We make sure adequate rest periods are taken, sun protection if working outside, rehydration / refreshments provided onsite as well as monthly mental health catch up talks. Our crew is the lifeblood of Silverback
Both our crew and clients know we have a zero-compromise approach to putting our crew in jeopardy. Health and Safety is either taken seriously or it is not and within the culture of Silverback it is taken extremely seriously.
